Job summary

UST in Bengaluru, India is seeking an IMDS specialist to manage IMDS submissions, validate supplier data, and ensure compliance with IMDS, ELV, and related environmental standards. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, and purchasing to collect necessary information and perform SoC analyses for regulatory surveys.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of experience with global OEM substance regulations, and a solid understanding of REACH, ROHS, and related guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience with Global OEM Substance Regulations.
• Awareness of upcoming Environmental health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze material/Substance tree in IMDS per customer BOM.
• Prepare chemical composition datasheets for automotive components per standards.
• Validate IMDS, ELV, and Material composition declarations.
• Resolve supplier/customer queries in a timely, accurate manner.
• Perform data quality checks of IMDS data and decision-making on supplier acceptance per GADSL.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and purchasing to gather required information.
• Conduct SoC analyses for regulatory surveys (REACH, ROHS, ELV, conflict minerals).
• Review material datasheets and perform SoC analysis.
• Monitor chemical usage in materials.

Job description

Job Summary

Manage IMDS submissions, validate supplier data, and ensure compliance with IMDS, ELV, and material declaration standards.

Responsibilities

• Creation and analysis of material/Substance tree in IMDS in accordance to customers released Bill of Materials.
• Chemical composition datasheets for automotive components and systems; data sheet preparation according to customer standards and organization norms.
• Responsible for validation of IMDS, ELV, Material composition declaration.
• Timely and accurate resolution of queries from supplier and customers.
• Data quality checking of IMDS reported by our suppliers and decision making of accepting or rejecting suppliers IMDS with respect to GADSL and IMDS recommendations.
• Work with engineering, Product Management, Purchasing etc. to collecting necessary information.
• Any specific Substance of Concern (SoC) analysis for surveys pertaining to Regional or Global Environmental requirements (REACH, ROHS, ELV, Conflict minerals, etc.).
• Material datasheet review and SoC Analysis.
• Monitor the usage/application of chemicals in specific materials.

Requirements

• Mandatory 2-5 years knowledge on Global OEMs Substance Regulations.
• Overview of upcoming Environmental health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge on automotive components will be an added advantage.
