Job summary

Natixis Services in India is seeking an experienced Operations professional to ensure seamless execution of global market transactions. You will maintain operational integrity, mitigate risk, and facilitate end-to-end processing to meet business and regulatory requirements.

You will manage settlement cycles, treasury forecasting, payments, SSIs, and reconciliations, contributing to client trust and smooth financial activity in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in operations on global markets activities (e.g., Fixed income, equity derivatives, stock lending/borrowing, listed derivatives).
  • Experience in treasury or financial markets operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Settlement: manage and execute settlement cycles for equity derivatives, stock lending/borrowing, fixed income, listed derivatives.
  • Treasury forecasting: provide data and insights for cash flows and exposures.
  • Payment processing & SSI management: execute payments and maintain SSIs to prevent failures.
  • Reconciliation: perform reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash with external entities and internal systems.
  • Daily task declaration in the operational tool with audit trails.
  • Fee management: process and reconcile fees for global market and treasury activities.
  • Collateral management for OTC derivatives and repo.

Job description

This role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless and accurate execution of global market transactions. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining operational integrity, mitigating risk, and facilitating efficient end-to-end transaction processing to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements. The impact of this role is critical to maintaining client trust and the smooth functioning of the organization's financial activities in this key market.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties / Business-as-Usual (BAU)
  • Settlement: Manage and execute the settlement cycle for equity derivatives, stock lending and borrowing, Fixed Income, listed derivatives.
  • Treasury Forecasting: Contribute to accurate and timely treasury forecasts by providing reliable data and insights related to expected cash flows and exposures.
  • Payment Processing & SSI Management: Execute payments efficiently and accurately, and manage the creation and maintenance of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) to prevent settlement failures.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular and rigorous reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash with external agents, custodians, exchange, regulators and internal systems to identify and resolve any breaks.
  • Daily Task Declaration: Accurately and promptly declare all completed daily tasks in the designated operational tool, ensuring complete audit trails.
  • Fee Management: Accurately process and reconcile all fees associated with global market and treasury activities.
  • Collateral Management: Handle collateral management activities for OTC derivatives and repo.
Governance, Compliance and Risk Management
  • Issue Identification & Escalation: Proactively identify, investigate, and escalation any operational issues, risks, or discrepancies to management as soon as detected, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Support the accurate and timely preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly regulatory reports as required by local authorities.
  • Operational Excellence: Adhere strictly to all internal controls, policies, and procedures to achieve operational excellence, defined by zero defaults and zero delays in all assigned responsibilities. Update procedures once a year.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in operations specifically on global markets activities (e.g., Fixed income, equity derivatives, stock lending and borrowing, Fixed Income, listed derivatives
  • Proven experience working within a treasury or financial markets operational environment.
