Overview
Fraud & Risk Operations – Associate / Sr. Associate at Paytm. Review alerts triggered based on predefined Fraud and Risk parameters. Document details and analysis outcomes accurately in the company system. Analyze information to identify patterns and trends, provide feedback and insights to internal teams, and translate insights into risk strategies and roadmaps. Coordinate with merchants via calls and emails to review and conclude alerts logically. Conduct open-source reviews to complete investigations and ensure compliance with KYC policies.
Work on alerts, automated workflows, and management reporting to support monitoring and fraud detection. Coordinate with internal & external stakeholders. Manage risk cases including investigation and follow-up within defined timeframes. Refine key risk indicators and identify opportunities to improve data quality and reduce noise and false positives.
Ability to conduct detailed investigations in adverse/negative transaction surveillance/monitoring and be flexible to work on rotational shifts.

Responsibilities
- Review alerts triggered from Fraud & Risk perspective and document details and analysis outcomes in the company system.
- Analyze gathered information to identify patterns, trends, and insights; provide feedback to internal teams based on findings.
- Translate insights into risk strategies and roadmaps; coordinate with merchants through calls and emails to review and conclude alerts.
- Perform control reviews and confront potential fraudulent activity; support monitoring and detection through alerts and automated workflows.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; conduct transaction data analysis across merchant sites to identify trends and customer behavior.
- Manage risk cases, including investigation and follow-up within defined timeframes; refine risk indicators and improve data quality to reduce false positives.
- Conduct open-source research to gather information for investigations and ensure KYC policy adherence (CDD/EDD of merchants, periodic reviews).
- Prepare documentation and information from internal systems/teams as per established norms of banks’ KYC policy.
- Demonstrate ability to conduct detailed investigations in adverse/negative transaction surveillance and monitoring; be flexible for rotations.
Qualifications
- Should have minimum 1 to 3 years of prior experience.
- Good verbal and writing skills.
- Proactive and self-driven.
- Good analytical skills.
- Understanding of technology and user experience.
- Good knowledge of SQL and MS Office.
- Collaborative, output-driven mindset that fosters cross-team cohesiveness through technology.
- Ability to receive solid 360 feedback from peer teams on support of goals.
