Job summary

Maersk is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead Record-to-Report operations within a global shared services environment. The role focuses on close processes, journal entries, and ensuring IFRS compliance across multiple entities.

Strong knowledge of balance sheet movements and GL management is required, along with expertise in SAP or CargoWise and TrueBalance. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years in R2R/ATR, an MBA in Finance or CA/CMA Inter, and will excel in stakeholder

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) / ATR roles.
• MBA Finance or professional certification preferred.
• Experience with IFRS and balance sheet movements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Review and record journal entries, accruals and provisions.
• Validate financial statements and key balance sheet movements.
• Ensure IFRS compliance across entities.
• Oversee Non-SAP / legacy postings and GL management.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and strengthen internal controls.

Key Skills

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close


• Review and record journal entries, accruals, provisions


• Validate financial statements and key balance sheet movements


• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards


• Manage Non-SAP / legacy entity postings


• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting


• Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and GL management


• Familiarity with SAP/CargoWise, or similar tools, TrueBalance


• Understanding of Internal Controls, and audit requirements


• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills


• Experience in shared services / global finance operations


• Experience in transition, migration, or transformation projects within finance operations is highly desirable

Shift Timing

Shift Timing: North America region (4:00 PM - 1:00 AM IST) additional hours may be required during critical close periods.
