Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an entry-level On-site LWD Supervisor in Mumbai to support the Logging-While-Drilling process. You will assist in tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation and QC while delivering services to customers.

This role requires basic engineering knowledge, good communication, data entry skills and safety certification; a STEM degree is preferred and prior experience is not required. This is a field position with strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Basic engineering and measurement knowledge is expected.
• Ability to read well logs and directional survey data.
• Must hold relevant on/offshore safety certificates.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is preferred.
• Must demonstrate good communication, data entry and recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process under strict supervision.
• Learn and perform LWD service-line duties.
• Serve as an entry-level member in a supervisory role.
• Provide technical and operational support to customers.
• Handle data acquisition, log generation and QC for LWD services.
• Maintain equipment inventory and supervise movement to/from the well site.
• Prepare job tickets, daily reports and end-of-well reports.

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Logging- While-Drilling (LWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and Quality Control (QC) and delivery of the services to the customer.
• Responsibilities are to learn the job role for the LWD service line.
• Serves as a thrid man in a sub-ordinate role.
• Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer.
• Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and measurement while drilling principles.
• Maintains equipment inventory and supervises movement to and from well site.
• Check equipment and advises repair requirements. Maintains computer database for on-going jobs, prepares job ticket, daily reporting and end-of-well reports.
• Skill acquired through completion of the basic M/LWD training program. Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, and no previous experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline is preferred. Must have successfully passed company tests, or met task guideline requirements.
• Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards. Must possess good communication, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills.
• Requires ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
• Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates. This is the entry level position for the LWD job family. This is a field position.
