Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Associate Engineering Technician - Electrical Water to support engineering teams in Mumbai, India. You will use CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain technical drawings and project deliverables under supervision.

Preferred qualifications include a Diploma/Certificate or an Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology and typically 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
• Proactively apply knowledge of BV Quality Program to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require an intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Continuously learns and remains current on standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and BV policies and procedures. Begins to proactively apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure that the deliverables are accurate and compliant. Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts. Broadening the use of applications to learn to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes and procedures used to accomplish deliverables. Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs. May perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks. Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors. Focuses on the needs of internal clients while gaining basic understanding of external clients main interests and drivers. Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
