RTX (Raytheon) Collins Aerospace in Hyderabad seeks a motivated Design Engineer to support day-to-day mechanical design activities within a structured engineering organization.

You will create and maintain 3D models and detailed drawings using UG NX, apply DFM/DFA and tolerance analysis, and collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Site Engineers to resolve design issues across the product lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1–3 years of mechanical design or related engineering experience.
• Hands-on UG NX experience (Mechanical and/or Electrical) is mandatory.

Overview.

We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to support day-to-day engineering design activities within a structured and high-performing engineering organization.

This role provides an opportunity to apply strong engineering fundamentals while contributing to reliable, manufacturable, and lifecycle-driven design solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards.

What You Will Do

• Support all day-to-day mechanical design activities for assigned engineering programs in alignment with organizational standards and project schedules.
• Create and maintain 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using UG NX.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), tolerance analysis, and material selection best practices.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Site Program Engineers to resolve design issues.
• Support concept development, design maturation, and release activities across the product lifecycle.
• Evaluate materials with respect to lifecycle performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving to drive technically sound design decisions.
• Exposure to UG NX Electrical Routing and block diagrams is considered an added advantage.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree (full-time) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design or related engineering roles.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with UG NX (Mechanical and/or Electrical) - mandatory.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in accordance with applicable export control and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Exposure to UG NX Electrical Routing and block diagram creation.
• Experience with composites and aluminium alloys
• Background in Aerospace or Automotive interior design.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
• Innovative mindset grounded in strong engineering fundamentals and attention to detail.
