Job summary

Vertiv India is seeking an Associate Engineer Mechanical in Switchgear to support design engineering for NPD, VAVE and improvement projects. You will do concept design, CAD modelling in SolidWorks, and manage BOMs. Provide 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and change orders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years of SolidWorks experience in sheet metal, with PLM exposure. Strong English communication and ability to work with minimal guidance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
• 1–3 years of experience on SolidWorks in sheet metal domain is a must.
• SolidWorks 3D modelling with BOM generation and CO process understanding.
• Experience with any PLM tools; Agile or PD cloud is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work independently.

Description Of Essential Duties

Required Competency

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
• 1-3 years of experience on Solidworks platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
• Must have good working experience in 3D modelling and detailing work on Solidworks with experience on generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO process.
• Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process will be an added advantage.
• Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design is added advantage.
• Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized.
• Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS and managing modifications as required.
• Working experience on LV and MV Switchgear will be Added advantage.
