Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru is seeking an Associate Engineer to contribute to the design and development of test equipment hardware. You will create drawings, schematics, and BOMs for ATE, while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to verify and validate equipment performance.

The role involves hands-on work with NI hardware and various test instruments, contributing to integration and troubleshooting, and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Test equipment hardware design including component selection, review/creation of electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Hands on experience on test and measurement equipment like NI hardware, Data Acquisition Systems, Power Supply, DSO, DMM, Analyser, signal generators.
• Knowledge in Serial, Ethernet, CAN and ARINC communication protocols.
• Experience in usage of tools for configuration control, MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, OrCAD, PSpice and MS Visio preferable.

In this role the Associate Engineer will actively participate in the design and development of test equipment hardware, create test engineering artifacts.

In performing these activities, the Associate engineer will interface with customers, external suppliers, project managers, engineering managers, mechanical, software, electrical, and systems engineers, as well as the manufacturing organization and report to Test Engineering technical manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support test equipment hardware design.
• Create test equipment design drawings, schematics, BOM and assembly instructions for ATE as per design specification
• Develop verification and validation procedures for ATE to ensure system will perform as specified to meet customer and system requirements.
• Support test equipment assembly and Integration activities

Skill Sets:

• Experience in Test equipment hardware design including component selection, review/creation of electrical drawings, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Hands on experience on various test and measurement equipment like NI hardware, third party Data Acquisition Systems, Power Supply, DSO, DMM, Analyser, signal generators etc.
• Knowledge in communications protocols like Serial, Ethernet, CAN and ARINC
• Experience in usage of tools for configuration control, MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, OrCAD, PSpice and MS Visio preferable.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
