Job summary

Regeneron is seeking an Associate Director, Data Lake Operations in Hyderabad to lead the design, implementation, and governance of clinical data lake solutions for global trials and research. The role focuses on scalable architectures, diverse data pipelines, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The candidate will drive CDISC-aligned data models (SDTM/ADaM), ensure data quality and lineage, and collaborate with IT and global teams to enable advanced analytics and informed decision-making

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related field (required).
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or clinical operations.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams or large-scale data initiatives.
  • Proven experience on large-scale data lake implementations in healthcare or clinical research domains.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for the Clinical Data Lake aligned with business and regulatory objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data lake architectures across clinical data ecosystems.
  • Build and manage data pipelines integrating diverse sources (EDC systems, lab data, biomarker data, EHR, and other healthcare datasets).
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, FDA, and ICH-GCP.
  • Establish standardized clinical data models aligned with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) to enable analytics and reporting.
  • Drive data quality, transformation, validation, and lineage tracking to ensure integrity and traceability of clinical data.
  • Collaborate with IT, data teams, and global stakeholders to align data infrastructure with business objectives.
  • Lead matrixed teams across data engineering, ingestion, standardization, and visualization functions.
  • Drive innovation through adoption of new technologies and data capabilities to enhance clinical insights and decision-making.

As an Associate Director, Data Lake Operations, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of clinical data lake solutions supporting global clinical trial and healthcare research initiatives. You will ensure efficient data ingestion, integration, and governance while enabling advanced analytics, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.

This position is office-based and will be on site at Regenerons Hyderabad office.
A Typical Day May Include The Following

This job may be for you if you have:
  • Strong expertise in data lake architecture, data engineering, and clinical data ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of clinical trial processes, CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM), and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with big data platforms such as AWS, Spark, or Google Cloud
  • Strong proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and ETL tools
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources and building scalable data solutions
To be considered for this role, you must have:
