Role Overview

You will be accountable for the quality, timely, and efficient delivery of project programming work and information management. Your profound programming experience and industry knowledge will enable you to independently lead programming activities and mentor other programmers. This leadership role may have either a project or technical focus, involving the initiation and guidance of cross‑functional teams for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply computer science and information technology for the development and maintenance of tools supporting analysis and innovation processes.
• Drive the development of best practices to enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the function.
• Lead the evaluation of tools and processes to collect various data types for analysis and innovation.
• Design, develop, and maintain processes and tools supporting analysis and innovation within the function.
• Act as a source of expertise, defining and communicating important initiatives across departments and functions.
• Contribute to recruitment, training, and mentorship within the function.
• Identify opportunities for methodology improvement and provide practical solutions.
• Represent AstraZeneca at external events and working groups.

Qualifications Required

• BSc, BA, or postgraduate qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Life or Social Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in SAS programming and other programming languages.
