Job summary

Simplify Alpha seeks a technical leader to shape an AI-native engineering culture from the ground up. You will lead a cross-functional team across full-stack, backend, and infrastructure, while working directly with customer architects on architecture reviews and pre-sales discussions.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in software engineering and 4+ years in leadership, with strong Microsoft stack expertise, AI tool experience, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in technical leadership or equivalent.
• Proficient with the Microsoft stack (.NET, React, Azure).
• Strong CI/CD background with measurable delivery improvements.
• Experience in customer-facing architecture discussions and RFP responses.
• Using AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows.
• Excellent English communication and exec-level presentation skills.
• Healthcare tech exposure is a plus and distributed US HQ teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10-12 engineers across full-stack, backend, and infra; mentor and retain talent.
• Be the technical face to customer architects; participate in design reviews and pre-sales discussions.
• Own Work Breakdown Structure discipline: crisp, estimated, unambiguous stories before development.
• Track sprint health with precision; surface blockers quickly and resolve them.
• Champion Claude AI and Claude Code across workflows: AI-assisted scaffolding and test generation.
• Mature CI/CD pipelines to reduce cycles and increase deployment frequency.
• Stay technical: code reviews, pair programming, mentor during tough problems.
• Collaborate with product, infra, and enterprise architects for platform alignment.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of 10-12 engineers across full-stack, backend, and infrastructure - set the bar, mentor relentlessly, retain top talent
• Be the technical face to customer architects and solution reviewers - design reviews, pre-sales evaluations, architecture discussions
• Own WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) discipline: stories must be crisp, estimated, and unambiguous before development begins
• Track sprint health with precision - surface blockers fast, resolve faster, never let the team stall silently
• Champion Claude AI and Claude Code across the development workflow - code review automation, AI-assisted scaffolding, intelligent test generation
• Mature the CI/CD pipeline - reduce cycle time, increase deployment frequency, build a culture of continuous improvement
• Stay technical: review code, pair on hard problems, be the person engineers turn to when they're stuck
• Partner with product, infrastructure, and enterprise architects on platform alignment
• App: .NET/C#, React, Python
• Delivery: CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, quality gates

What You Bring

• 12+ years in software engineering; 4+ years in technical leadership
• Fluent in the Microsoft stack - you can review .NET code, spot a React anti-pattern, debug an Azure pipeline failure
• Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams
• Strong CI/CD background - you've built pipelines and driven measurable delivery improvements
• Comfortable with customer-facing technical conversations: architecture proposals, RFP responses, solution design sessions
• Already using AI-assisted dev tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in your own workflow
• Excellent English communication - spec writing and exec-level presentations alike
• Healthcare technology exposure is a strong plus; experience with US-HQ distributed teams is preferred
