Lonza in Hyderabad, India is seeking an Associate Director for Global Value Assurance, shaping investment decisions across the global network and partnering with senior stakeholders.

This office-first role allows two days per week remote work; you'll drive investment governance, review business cases, and support post‑investment learnings.

The ideal candidate has extensive finance and project evaluation experience, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business case development, capital projects, corporate finance, investment evaluation, strategy, or project assurance.
• Strong understanding of investment appraisal, financial modelling, risk assessment, project controls, and governance processes.
• Experience working within complex global organizations across functions, sites, and regions.
• Ability to evaluate commercial, operational, technical, and financial assumptions and their impact on outcomes.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for senior stakeholders.

• Support the Business Case Led Investment Process for major capital and strategic investments.
• Coordinate and facilitate investment review activities with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
• Review investment submissions for completeness and robustness of business cases and governance.
• Analyze financial performance indicators, project risks, and investment assumptions for decision support.
• Assess project readiness and governance alignment against approval frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement of investment governance processes, templates, tools, and documentation.
• Monitor approved projects and contribute to post-investment reviews and lessons learned.

What you will do:

• Coordinate and facilitate investment review activities, partnering with cross-functional and global stakeholder groups.
• Review investment submissions to ensure business cases, assumptions, supporting data, and governance requirements are complete and robust.
• Analyze financial performance indicators, project risks, and investment assumptions to support effective decision-making.
• Assess project readiness, scope, and governance alignment against established approval frameworks.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Significant experience in business case development, capital projects, corporate finance, investment evaluation, strategy, management consulting, or project assurance.
• Strong understanding of investment appraisal, financial modelling, risk assessment, project controls, and governance processes.
• Experience working within complex global organizations and collaborating across multiple functions, sites, and regions.
• Ability to evaluate commercial, operational, technical, and financial assumptions and their impact on overall business outcomes.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• High levels of integrity, sound judgement, and a commitment to objective, data-driven decision support.
