About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Drupal SME, collaborating with internal and external teams to evaluate solutions and drive consensus with solution/platform architects and vendor teams.
• Conduct functional and technical analysis, timeline evaluations, and interface definitions to convert customer requirements into software specifications and user stories.
• Play a key role in Agile sprint teams by contributing to sprint planning, backlog management, and implementing core functionality with meticulous attention to detail throughout testing and deployment.
• Provide expertise in defining development standards, best practices, design patterns, and governance for technical solutions.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to bring creative problem-solving, UX considerations, and innovative thinking to achieve project objectives.
• Create and maintain system design documentation for all aspects of the website, ensuring clear and actionable deliverables.
• Facilitate production planning and implementation of solutions with a focus on seamless deployment.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and adhere to best practices for version control and software interoperability.
• Independently develop and deliver Drupal CMS solutions, leveraging best practices and architectural approaches under minimal supervision.
• Provide expertise in Acquia platform capabilities, core/contributed modules, and custom module development to meet site functionality requirements. Diagnose and resolve development and performance issues throughout iterative sprints.
  
  

Essential Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  
  

Experience

• Over 5 years of technical expertise in Drupal CMS solution development, including architectural experience.
• Demonstrated experience in application development within complex, multi-platform distributed environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of CMS migration processes, preferably transitioning from an existing CMS to Drupal.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including hardware, virtualization, and networking.
• Proficiency in at least one dynamic programming language such as JavaScript, PHP, or Python.
• Skilled in modern development tools and source code management platforms (e.g., Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, SVN).
• Experience designing and developing system architectures with a strong focus on defining key capabilities and performance requirements.
• Practical expertise in creating external system interfaces and definition processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering large scale web sites
• Experience with Agile Software development and Agile methodology
• Experience in implementing Drupal 8/9/10 Web Content Management Systems
• Experience in migrating other Content Management Systems to Drupal CMS
• Experience with CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, Javascript, web services, and web application development
