Job summary

IndiSec, a premier privacy consulting firm, seeks an Associate to support privacy consulting and implementation projects in Delhi. You will draft policies, DPIAs, contracts, and compliance frameworks across the DPDP Act and global privacy standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in data privacy or tech law, strong drafting/research skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Mentorship and growth toward Senior Associate roles are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) is mandatory.
• 1–2 years of experience in data privacy, technology law, compliance, or related legal advisory.
• Working knowledge of the DPDP Act, 2023.
• Understanding of GDPR and global privacy frameworks preferred.
• Strong drafting, documentation and research capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and reviewing privacy policies, consent notices, DPIAs, ROPAs, contracts, and compliance frameworks.
• Research privacy laws including DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other global frameworks.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and compliance documentation for clients.
• Contribute to gap assessments, audits, roadmaps, and remediation activities.
• Develop privacy training materials, client scripts, awareness content, and handbooks.
• Support grievance redressal, incident reporting and breach assessment projects.

About the Opportunity / Organizer

Its work includes compliance, advisory, training, policy drafting, audits, and implementation support under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and global privacy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities / Competition Scope

The Associate will support privacy consulting and implementation projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in drafting and reviewing privacy policies, consent notices, DPIAs, ROPAs, contracts, and compliance frameworks.
• Research privacy laws, including the DPDP Act, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other global frameworks.
• Support client delivery by preparing reports, presentations, and compliance documentation.
• Contribute to gap assessments, audit work, implementation roadmaps, and remediation activities.
• Assist in developing privacy training materials, client scripts, awareness content, and handbooks.
• Support grievance redressal, incident reporting, and breach assessment projects when required.
• Contribute to legal blogs, knowledge papers, and internal knowledge-building initiatives.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) is mandatory.
• 1–2 years of experience in data privacy, technology law, compliance, or related legal advisory.
• Working knowledge of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
• Understanding of GDPR and other global privacy frameworks is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with organisations on compliance implementations.
