Job summary

EY is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect/ solutions consultant to lead hybrid IT transformations in a Global Technology advisory context.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience across on-premises and cloud, with expertise in data centres, virtualization, and multi-cloud architectures. Travel up to 50% may be required, and strong communication with CTO/CIO levels is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level BE/BTech or higher is required.
• Postgraduate in IT/CS preferred (MTech/MCA).
• At least one infrastructure platform certification (VMware, Microsoft, Cisco) or cloud certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish IT Infrastructure vision and leverage trends to create business value.
• Lead client interactions on IT Infra strategy roadmaps and implement new tech.
• Conduct as-is assessments of IT infra and security services.
• Prepare architecture artifacts for infra and security.
• Plan data centre migrations against standards and develop migration plans.
• Design cloud-based solutions (Public/Private/Hybrid).
• Assess infra estate for cost optimization.
• Assist in RFPs, vendor onboarding and SLAs.
• Ensure successful project delivery within timelines.
• Engage with CTO/CIO level executives and travel up to 50%.

Job description

Role: IT Infrastructure

Work Experience:

• Working in a leading Global Technology consulting firm as an Infrastructure architect or solution consultant role (Preferable Big 4 s IT Advisory Practice or equivalent)
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Hybrid IT Infrastructure domain (On-premises & Cloud)
• Experience migrating or transforming solutions in Hybrid IT Infrastructure landscape
• Experience working on IT infrastructure domains (compute, network, storage, backups) with specific level of expertise in atleast any two domains
• Experience to front end engagements on IT Infra transformation (strategic & tactical)
• Experience in RFP development and Technical Project Management
• Experience on IT Infrastructure security management practices
• Experience in Financial Services industry would be an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Establish IT Infrastructure vision, enable innovation and leverage latest technology trends that can create business value
• Lead client interactions on IT Infrastructure strategy roadmaps, complex problem solving and lead initiatives for new technology implementations
• Conduct as-Is assessment and analysis of current IT Infrastructure and security services
• Prepare architecture artifacts related to IT Infrastructure and security
• Conduct data centre assessment against TIA/Uptime standards & develop migration plan
• Design cloud-based solutions (Public cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud)
• Assess IT Infrastructure estate for cost optimization
• Assist in RFP development, vendor onboarding & service level agreement preparation
• Delivery of Projects:

1. Ensure successful client delivery within agreed timeline
2. Develop healthy relationships with clients and internal teams

• Stay updated on new and emerging markets and offerings, conduct regular knowledge sharing sessions on the latest IT Infrastructure trends

Skills:

• Strong internal and external stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Experience of projects including IT strategy and Hybrid IT Infra Transformations
• Sound knowledge of Data Centre TIERs & Multi-Cloud footprints
• In-depth understanding of Virtualization, Software defined Data Centre Technologies for Compute, Servers, Storage, Backup, Hyper Converged and Networks
• Cloud solution architect associate (Public cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including routing/switching, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP and on latest technologies such as ACI
• Strong understanding of security principles & standards for hybrid IT infra deployments
• Strong understanding of business continuity planning & disaster recovery architecture

Educational Qualifications:

• Graduation: BE/BTech
• Post-Graduation: MTech/MCA (Computer Science/Information Technology)

Certifications:

• At least one certification in leading Infrastructure Platforms (VMware, Microsoft, Cisco etc.) or leading Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
• Having one from the following certification will be an added advantage:
  • Cloud Solution Architect certification
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL
  • Security certification (CompTIA or ISACA or ISC2)

Other Requirements:

• Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Should be excellent to make presentations & technical report writing on subject areas
• Should be comfortable engaging with CTO / CIO / GM Level personnel in financial services institutions
• Should be comfortable in up to 50% or more travel within / outside country for short / long terms assignments.
