Job summary

Athena Infonomics seeks energetic professionals for India-based development consulting projects, focusing on research, data collection, and analytical reporting. You will draft deliverables, coordinate surveys, and support business development.

The role requires a Master’s in economics or related field, 2–4 years of relevant experience including consulting, and strong quantitative and communication skills. Travel to client sites will be expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, statistics, international development, public policy, social development or related field required.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in the India domestic market with at least 1 year in consulting.
• Candidates without at least 1 year of consulting experience will NOT be considered.
• Demonstrated ability in management consulting and cross-team facilitation at mid management level.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods skills.
• Quantitative data analysis in a statistical package (Stata, SPSS, SAS) desirable.
• Experience in proposal writing and business development.
• Experience working with government ministries, donors, NGOs.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; strong MS Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel extensively based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Draft deliverables for development consulting projects based on primary and secondary research and oversee execution.
• Build survey instruments, monitor surveys, collect data, clean, analyze, and report findings.
• Support business development including scoping, proposals and tender responses.
• Coordinate with analysts to ensure high quality outputs.
• Manage budgets and ensure on-time delivery of deliverables.
• Contribute to organizational development activities and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with team members, sub-contractors and clients across countries and time zones.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with project teams to draft deliverables for Athena’s development consulting projects based on primary and secondary research and oversee project execution;
• Work on building survey instruments, monitoring surveys and data collection, data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• Support the leads to build the practice by supporting business development including scoping and contributing to proposals and tender responses;
• Coordinate with a team of analysts and ensure high quality outputs.
• Ensure effective management of budgets and on-time delivery of project deliverables.
• Proactively contribute to business, management and organization development activities including proposal development, knowledge sharing, communication pieces, trainings etc.;
• Work collaboratively with team members, sub-contractors and clients, often across multiple countries and time zones.
• Travel to project and client sites, as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in economics, statistics, international development, public policy, social development or other related field required.
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in the India domestic market with atleast 1 years with consulting organizations.
• Candidates not having at least 1 years of consulting experience will NOT be considered.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in management consulting and cross-team facilitation at the mid management level.
• Strong quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods skills.
• Quantitative experience in a statistical package (Stata, SPSS, SAS, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience with quantitative data analysis, program evaluation, policy analysis, proposal and report writing.
• Direct experience in proposal writing and business development.
• Experience of working closely with stakeholders such as government ministries, donors and NGOs.
• Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.
• Must have strong Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with staff from all education and experience levels, as well as across various geographic locations.
• Willingness to travel extensively based on the project requirement.
