Job summary

NiCE is hiring for a CloudOps Engineer to manage Azure-based platforms in production, including Azure Gov Cloud. You will perform deployments, runbooks, and automation to support mission-critical workflows for public safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud operations, incident management, and AI-driven operational improvements. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of Azure production experience, strong scripting, and familiarity with Terraform/ARM/Bicep.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years operating Azure in production, ideally including Azure Government Cloud.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Monitor
• Real troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, OS, network, and application layers
• Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Shell
• Working knowledge of CI/CD with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with ITIL processes: incident, change, and problem management
• Comfort in a fast-paced, on-call environment supporting mission-critical workloads
• Experience with Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
• AKS or container-based workloads
• Grafana, Kibana, or Application Insights
• Cloud cost optimization and governance experience
• Azure security best practices
• Hands-on AI-assisted operations and automation reducing manual effort
• AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate)
• AZ-900 (Fundamentals)
• AI-900 is a plus

Responsibilities

• Handling operational work: patching, scaling, backups, DR validation, access management.
• Leading incident response and root cause analysis; writing runbooks for future use.
• Building automation with PowerShell, Bash, and CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
• Participating in 24x7 on-call rotations in a global model.
• Building AI-driven workflows for alerting, deployment automation, and operational intelligence.
• Shaping automation to reduce MTTR and manual effort.

You’ll join the CloudOps team running these platforms on Azure Public and Azure Government Cloud. The work is operational, hands‑on, and high‑stakes, with real room to shape how we use automation and AI to run cloud at scale.

How will you make an impact?

• Deploying and validating application environments, executing releases, and managing change with discipline
• Running core Azure services in production: VMs, App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, networking, IAM, and Azure Monitor / Log Analytics
• Handling the operational work that keeps platforms reliable: patching, scaling, backups, DR validation, and access management
• Leading incident response and root cause analysis when things break, and writing the runbook so the next person doesn’t have to relearn it
• Building automation that removes toil, with PowerShell, Bash, and CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps
• Participating in 24×7 on‑call rotations as part of a global operational model
