Job summary

Accenture Kochi is seeking an Associate Business Analyst to support business analysis and requirement management.

You will translate business needs into clearly documented requirements and aid in delivering digitally enabled solutions for client engagements while learning Accenture delivery methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of business analysis and requirement documentation practices using structured templates and tools.
• Exposure to Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement and sprint execution.
• Ability to think in terms of systems, roles & system capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis of current-state (as-is) processes and assist in documenting future-state (to-be) processes under the direction of senior team members.
• Assist in planning, preparing and documenting client workshops, interviews and requirement gathering sessions.
• Work with client and internal stakeholders to understand stated requirements and contribute to documentation using process models, basic story maps, data analysis, and document reviews.
• Support day-to-day communication with delivery teams by helping clarify documented requirements and assumptions.
• Assist with iteration planning, backlog refinement and sprint activities, including drafting user stories and acceptance criteria under guidance.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and help maintain alignment between the project team, client, and project leadership.
• Contribute to the identification of solution options by documenting business needs, dependencies and constraints to support decision‑making.
• Create and maintain requirement artefacts (user stories, process flows, functional documentation) based on Accenture and client-defined standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather inputs required for analysis and documentation.
• Support alignment between requirements, solution design and implementation artefacts, escalating gaps or inconsistencies when identified.
• Assist in maintaining requirement traceability, accuracy and version control throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This role focuses on learning Accenture delivery methodologies, tools and ways of working while building foundational consulting and analysis skills.

• Exposure to Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement and sprint execution.
• Ability to proactively raise issues, risks and clarifications to Analysts, Senior Analysts or Project Managers.
• Basic application awareness of enterprise or commerce platforms (e.g. SAP Hybris, Salesforce or similar) is beneficial.
• Demonstrates structured thinking and clear communication, shows learning agility, proactively takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and collaborates effectively within a team‑based delivery environment.
• Ability to think in terms of systems, roles & system capabilities
• Ability to aid clients in making data driven decisions by using data analysis tools such as Excel & guide clients towards solutions to their business problems
• Ability to do market research to understand client's business
• Ability to use AI tools efficiently
• Exposure to the following is considered a plus
  • JIRA / Azure DevOps for backlog management
  • Basic SQL
  • Basic understanding of APIs / system integrations
  • Analytics tools
