Job summary

Gea Group is seeking an automation engineer to lead software development for HMI, PLC and SCADA systems. The role includes site commissioning support, FAT/SAT activities, and remote site assistance across India and overseas.

Required are a BE in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Controls, hands-on experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, and strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA platforms. Extensive travel (approx. 60%) is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls or similar background.
• Experience with automation platforms and programming languages per S88 (ladder, STL, FBD, SCL).
• Strong knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, WinCC, InTouch, System Platform).
• Willingness to travel extensively within India and abroad (approx. 60%).

Responsibilities

• Develop software for HMI, PLC, and SCADA.
• Support site commissioning and FAT/SAT activities.
• Prepare FDS documents and remote site support.
• Travel for pre-commissioning and FAT on sites across India and abroad.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Software development - HMI , PLC, SCADA
• Site Commissioning Support

• FDS write up

• Various documenation preparation

Tasks:

• Software Logic Development in Automation Platform Rockwell/Siemens/Schneider
• SCADA Screen Development in Rockwell, Wonderware Intouch, System Platform
• FDS write up and update as per developed program

Bachelor of Engineering Degree in

• Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls or similar education background

Work Experience:

• 1-7 year
• Experience on any particular Dairy / Food / Beverages / Brewery Industry

Skills:

• Know how of basic automation platform - e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider etc.
• Know how of various programming languages on S88 standard e.g. ladder, STL, FBD, SCL
• In-depth knowledge of HMI and SCADA - e.g. Factory Talk, WinCC, TIA, InTouch, System platform etc.
• RS Batch / In-Batch Knowledge would be an added advantage
• Fault finding / Troubleshooting skill / P&ID Understanding
• Server Client Set-up and System Architecture knowledge would be an added advantage
• Industry 4.0 / IIoT Platform
• Basic knowledge on Electrical drawings reading and components identification

Travel Requirements:

• The Engineer would be based in India office
