The NS Raghavan Centre forEntrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) is IIM Bangalore’s startup hub and incubationcentre. The centre is structured as a section-8 not-for-profit entity.
NSRCEL’s mission is to support ventures in the start-up ecosystem that demonstrate potential to createsignificant economic and societal impact. This financial year alone NSRCEL hasengaged with 1106 ventures through 13 unique program tracks across 82 towns inthe country.
NSRCEL is supported byDepartment of Science and Technology and Ministry of Electronics andInformation Technology. NSRCEL has partners with corporates like Alstom,Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Pernod RicardIndia Foundation and SBI Foundation, among others to support idea stage andearly-revenue stage entrepreneurs and startups in focussed themes ofclimate-tech, women entrepreneurship, and social impact.
What you will be doing?
1. Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers on workforceplanning and hiring needs.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, includingsourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding.
- Build talent pipelines, track hiringmetrics, and drive recruitment process improvements.
- Support employer branding initiatives toattract quality talent.
2. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Lead employee engagement, wellness, and culture-buildinginitiatives.
- Drive internal communication and employer branding efforts.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and values-driven workplace
3. HR BusinessPartnering
- Partner with business leaders on peopleinitiatives and workforce planning.
- Advise managers on employee relations,engagement, and HR best practices.
- Support organisational change and buildstrong stakeholder relationships
4. Learning& Development
- Identify learning needs and implementorganisation-wide L&D initiatives.
- Coordinate leadership development,capability-building, and employee training programmes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness andfoster a culture of continuous learning.
5. HRAnalytics & Reporting
- Develop HR dashboards and reports on keypeople metrics.
- Analyse workforce data to generateinsights and support decision-making.
6. HROperations & Administration
- Manage the employee lifecycle fromonboarding to separation.
- Maintain HR policies, SOPs, and processdocumentation.
- Oversee HR operations, including HRIS,employee records, documentation, contracts, and policy administration.
- Ensure compliance with organisationalpolicies and support internal and HR audits.
- Drive process improvements to enhanceoperational efficiency.
Requirements
What you will need to bring tothe table
You will ideally have:
- Master's degree in Human Resources from a Tier-1 institute.
- 4–6 years of experience across talentacquisition, HR operations, employee engagement, learning & development,and business partnering.
- Experience working in fast-pacedenvironments, preferably startups, incubators, or innovation ecosystems.
- Good understanding of HR best practices,labour laws, and statutory compliance; exposure to payroll, performancemanagement, and HRMS is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholdermanagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to managemultiple priorities independently.
Good to Have
- Exposure to payroll processes.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and labour laws.
- Experience with performance management processes.
- Familiarity with HRMS and HR analytics tools.
- Experience in startups, incubators, or fast-paced organizations.
