Job summary

RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited invites an Associate to join its Consulting Quality & Risk Management (CQRM) team, with a preferred location in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on reviewing contracts, RFPs, and risk documents, while developing templates and policies to support engagements.

The candidate will collaborate with client service teams, contribute to risk mitigation, and mentor junior members within a growing professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law required.
• 2 to 3 years of experience preferred.
• CPA, MBA, LLM or other relevant certification.
• Strong research, writing, analytical and communications skills.
• Ability to review legal standards, rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Review engagement agreements and related contracts and documents.
• Review RFPs and develop exceptions documents to support pursuits.
• Prepare risk management plans and issues memos to mitigate risks.
• Consult with client service teams on risk matters affecting engagements.
• Prepare and update contract templates, playbooks and training material.
• Train junior team members and assist with onboarding.

As the largest national accounting firm focused on serving the middle market, RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited is seeking an Associate to join our Consulting Quality & Risk Management (CQRM) team, with a preferred location in Chicago, IL. Part of RSM’s Office of Risk Management, the CQRM team is comprised of experienced professionals with diverse business and legal backgrounds who support our rapidly expanding consulting, audit, and tax practices. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a premier professional services organization while developing a deep understanding of the business and building the risk management expertise essential to supporting its continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Review of professional services engagement agreements, subcontractor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, business associate agreements, data privacy agreements, information security agreements, reseller and referral agreements, and other related contracts and legal documents
• Review of commercial and public sector requests for proposals (RFPs) and development of exceptions documents in support of engagement pursuits
• Preparation of risk management plans and issues memos to identify and mitigate enhanced risks to the firm presented by the terms and conditions of the engagement agreement or RFP
• Consult with client service team personnel in evaluating and responding to risk matters affecting client engagements and/or the services provided to the client
• Preparation, development, and/or updates to contract templates, contracting playbooks, knowledge management articles, practice manuals and policies, and training material
• Train lesser experienced and/or more junior level members of the CQRM Team, and assist with onboarding and supporting new members of the CRQM Team

Preference will be given to internal candidates with the requisite skills and demonstrated ability to grow.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Law
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communications skills
• Ability to review and apply legal standards, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Ability to understand and ensure compliance with firm, lines of business, and departmental policies and procedures
• Ability to identify gaps in or revisions to existing operational policies and practices
• Ability to apply sound professional judgement and skepticism and maintain objectivity in responding to significant risk events
• Ability to adapt to change and reprioritize based on urgency, risk rating, and/or significance of matter
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with respect to internal information
• CPA, MBA, LLM or other relevant certification in consulting, accounting, tax, or legal profession
• Prior experience working in an accounting or consulting firm, a business risk management or advisory role, or a government or commercial sector legal or procurement office or department
