Job summary

Acuity Analytics in Gurugram, India, seeks a finance professional with MBA (Finance) and accounting qualifications to join the Private Markets division. The role supports financial statements, auditing, and regulatory reporting for leading funds and corporates.

The candidate will perform GL reviews, reconciliations, and fee calculations, coordinating with auditors and onshore teams. Strong Excel and ERP exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• MBA with finance focus and strong academic record.
• CA Inter and CFA levels provide core accounting and finance knowledge.
• Proficiency in financial accounting, statements prep, and principles.
• Experience with PE/alternative investment structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial statements and disclosures as per standards.
• Assist in schedules, reconciliations, and audit-ready working papers.
• Perform GL reviews, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Calculate management fees and incentive allocations per fund documents.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting with data packs and docs.
• Perform tie-outs between financial statements, schedules, and trial balance.
• Assist month-/quarter-/year-end close incl. journal prep and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors and onshore teams during reporting milestones.
• Maintain strong internal controls and drive process improvements.

The job role is in the Private Markets division at Acuity, one of the fastest growing segments within the firm. This opportunity is ideal for a private equity /investment banking / strategy consulting professional who is interested in working with leading global private equity funds and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of periodic financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Operations, Statement of Changes in Equity, Cash Flow Statement, and related disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing financial statements supporting schedules, lead schedules, reconciliations, and audit-ready working papers to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Perform General Ledger (GL) reviews, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to identify and resolve accounting exceptions.
• Assist in the calculation and review of management fees, incentive/carried interest allocations, and related supporting schedules in accordance with fund governing documents.
• Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements by preparing schedules, data packs, and supporting documentation.
• Perform analytical reviews and tie-outs between financial statements, supporting schedules, trial balance, and underlying accounting records.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and onshore teams to address queries and provide supporting documentation during financial reporting and audit cycles.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, documentation, and internal controls while supporting process improvement initiatives and undertaking ad-hoc accounting and reporting assignments as required

Key competencies

• MBA (Finance), CFA (Level I/II), CA (Inter), or an equivalent qualification with a strong academic background in Accounting and Finance.
• Strong conceptual understanding of financial accounting, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Private Equity, Private Credit, or Alternative Investment Fund structures will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Exposure to accounting or ERP systems will be an advantage.
