Job summary

AECOM India Private Limited in Gurgaon is seeking a senior civil engineer with 18+ years of project experience across datacentre, commercial, residential, and other sectors. The role focuses on site grading, drainage design, and underground utility coordination, with exposure to BIM tools and code compliance.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with global stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of experience with projects similar in function, size and scope to the description above.
• Experience in datacentre, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, aviation sectors is highly desirable.
• Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in Civil engineering/Hydraulics or related field.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and multidisciplinary model reviews is an advantage.
• Knowledge on Site Grading Layouts, site development work, Design of Storm water drainage layouts, sanitary sewer system, chemical/effluent drainage system, tankage area layout, Asphalt and Concrete Road & RC Pavement
• Knowledge of Indian codes is mandatory. Familiarity with US, BS, Eurocodes is a plus.
• Working knowledge of current industry software, including Sewer Gem, Water GEM, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Arc GIS and Hec RAS/ HEC-HMS
• Strong coordination and communication skills for working with global and cross-functional teams.
• Time management and people management skills will be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site grading layouts and road layouts.
• Manage design of storm water drainage and sanitary systems.
• Coordinate underground services and cross-disciplinary work.
• Willingness for programming, macros & Excel design sheets is desirable, though not mandatory.
• Engage in Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python coding initiatives and related tooling.
• Communicate with clients and collaborate with global teams with strong time management.

Job Description

• Undergraduate degree (master’s preferred) in Civil engineering/Hydraulics or related field.

• Interest in working with Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python coding will be a big plus


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
