Job summary

EyeBio in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support IT infrastructure across Linux/Windows, on‑prem and cloud environments. You will ensure reliable, secure, and scalable services for a global healthcare biopharma context.

You will collaborate on data archival, virtualization, and automation using Ansible, Terraform, and cloud services to enable robust, data‑driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
• 3-5 years designing scalable archival solutions.
• 3+ years integrating archival products with databases and cloud storage.
• Experience with OpenText Info Archival, SOLIX or Informatica.
• Build data pipelines for ingestion and archival retrieval.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, CITUS, Hive databases.
• 1-2 years AWS/Azure cloud and infrastructure automation tools.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
• Scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
• DevOps practices: Git, IaC, CI/CD.

Role Overview

An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the infrastructure that enables an organization’s IT systems and services to run smoothly. This includes working with hardware, networking, virtualization, cloud environments, and security systems to ensure the organization’s IT infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Infrastructure engineers often work closely with software engineers, IT support teams, and system administrators to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and deliver high‑quality services to end‑users.

What will you do in this role:

• Manage the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of specific technology services.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to develop Data Archival solutions for Application retirement, Decommissioning and Live Data Archival.
• Carry out and also improve system software development and maintenance tasks by updating the product design to automate routine system administration tasks using standard tools and software development practices.
• Provide help with strategic direction and oversight for the design, development and support of Data Archival infrastructure that includes the full life cycle of technical
• Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the Product manager.
• Participate in Product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with Product goals.

What should you have:

• Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience working with network and system administration for Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
• 3-5 years of experience designing & developing scalable and high‑performance archival solutions
• 3+ Experience with integrating archival products with databases, file systems and cloud storage.
• Data Archival Platforms: Experience with Archival product vendors (OpenText Info Archival, SOLIX, Informatica, etc)
• Building data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and retrieval from source systems to archive.
• Databases: Experience on databases like Oracle, SQL, CITUS, Hive, etc & Querying Knowledge
• Automation & Cloud Platform: At least 1-2 year of experience with AWS/Azure Cloud as well as the infrastructure automation & management tools (ex: Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure DevOps, etc).
• Cloud and Virtualization Platforms: Proficiency in virtualization (Vmware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix) and familiarity with cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) platforms.
• Networking: Understanding of virtual networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Operating Systems: Experience working on Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell or Python.
• DevOps practices: Experience with Git, infrastructure as code (IaC), observability, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Security Best Practices: Familiarity with IT security practices and compliance.
• Problem‑Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
