Job summary

M&G India is seeking a senior finance professional to lead group and local statutory reporting for its Insurance entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II. You will oversee quarterly GL close, disclosures in Tagetik, and QRTs, while guiding product-level analysis for Unit-Linked and With Profits and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and delivery of accurate balance sheet and income statement reporting on Group and local statutory bases for assigned M&G Insurance entities, ensuring UK GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II compliance.
• Oversee quarterly general ledger close activities, reconciliations and analytical reviews for assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses with timely sign-off and evidence retention.
• Manage and review Tagetik submissions for disclosure reporting, ensuring completeness, consistency and timely delivery.
• Oversee Solvency II reporting inputs and supporting workings, including quarterly and annual QRTs for balance sheet, assets, own funds, premiums, claims and expenses.
• Provide senior oversight of product-level analysis for Unit-Linked and With Profits business, including charges, expenses, movements and drivers of variance.
• Lead resolution of validation errors, mapping issues and late adjustment requirements with Finance Operations, Reporting Analysis, Change and Technology teams.
• Support upcoming product launches by reviewing mapping updates, Tagetik disclosure changes, testing outputs and impacts on reporting and controls.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment through documented review, issue tracking, exception management, and process standardisation.
• Act as a senior point of contact for internal and external audit queries, ensuring audit evidence is complete and provided within required timelines.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members, prioritising activities across annual reporting peaks.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation opportunities and control enhancements to reduce manual effort and strengthen reporting quality.

Accountabilities/Responsibiliti es :-

• Oversee quarterly GL close activities, reconciliations and analytical reviews for assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses, ensuring completeness, accuracy, timely sign-off and robust evidence retention.
• Manage and review Tagetik submissions for disclosure reporting, including annual disclosure , ensuring output is complete, consistent and delivered to agreed timelines.
• Oversee Solvency II reporting inputs and supporting workings, including quarterly and annual QRTs for balance sheet, assets, own funds, premiums, claims and expenses, with appropriate review and challenge.
• Provide senior oversight of product-level analysis for Unit-Linked and With Profits business, including charges, expenses, movements and drivers of variance.
• Lead resolution of validation errors, mapping issues and late adjustment requirements by coordinating with Finance Operations, Reporting Analysis, Change and Technology teams.
• Support upcoming product launches by reviewing mapping updates, Tagetik disclosure changes, testing outputs and implementation impacts on reporting and controls.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment through documented review, issue tracking, exception management, WIT updates and process standardisation.
• Act as a senior point of contact for internal and external audit queries, ensuring audit evidence is complete, accurate and provided within required timelines.
• Provide guidance, coaching and review support to team members, helping prioritise activities across and annual reporting peaks.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation opportunities and control enhancements to reduce manual effort, improve process resilience and strengthen reporting quality.
• Build effective relationships across M&G Finance, Actuarial, Finance Operations, Group Reporting, Change, Technology and external stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are understood and delivered.
