Paperchase Accountancy in Ahmedabad seeks a senior accounting leader to join as AVP – Accounting. You will oversee month-end close, reconciliations, tax filings, and client reporting for US/UK/global portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance across teams.

You will mentor managers and analysts, drive process improvements, and collaborate with compliance, automation, and operations to deliver high-quality financials for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting practices

Responsabilités

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR processes, and financial statements.
• Review tax calculations, county/city tax returns, sales tax, payroll tax, and statutory filings.
• Ensure timely delivery of client financials and internal reports.
• Lead Managers, Assistant Managers, and Analysts; conduct performance reviews.

Educational Qualification

• CA / CPA / ACCA (preferred)
• MBA (Finance) / CFA / M.Com / B.Com
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting practices

Professional Experience

• 10–15 years in Accounting operations, with exposure to global clients
• Strong expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, tax filings, audit support, and financial reviews
• Experience managing large accounting teams and multiple client portfolios (US/UK/Global)

Role Description

The AVP – Accounting oversees all accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and drives efficiency and quality across teams. The role is accountable for compliance, process improvement, client satisfaction, and team development across the Accounting department.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations, AP/AR processes, and financial statements.
• Review tax calculations, county/city tax returns, sales tax, payroll tax, and statutory filings.
• Ensure timely delivery of client financials and internal reports.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Conduct periodic audits of processes, reconciliations, and system entries.
• Maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.

Client Management

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and address escalations.
• Oversee onboarding of new clients and deployment into teams.
• Conduct periodic client reviews to drive satisfaction and improvement.

Process Management

• Manage the implementation of new processes, tools, and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Automation, Operations, Compliance) to streamline workflows.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Assistant Managers, and Analysts.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee career development.
• Manage resource planning, training needs, and workload allocation.
• Foster a disciplined and compliant work environment.

Business Leadership

• Support senior leadership with strategic planning and business decision-making.
• Monitor team profitability, process KPIs, and operational performance.
• Lead internal meetings, review calls, and skip-level discussions as required.
