Job Summary

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in delivering a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students in the Montessori and Primary Sections. The role involves assisting in classroom management, lesson execution, student care, and administrative support while ensuring adherence to school policies and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Classroom Support

• Assist the Lead Teacher in conducting daily classroom activities
• Help in preparing and organizing teaching-learning materials
• Support implementation of lesson plans and classroom instructions
• Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment

2. Student Care & Supervision

• Ensure safety, hygiene, and well-being of students at all times
• Assist children with basic needs (toileting, meals, transitions)
• Supervise students during class, breaks, and activities

3. Academic Assistance

• Help students understand concepts through guided support
• Assist in conducting worksheets, activities, and assessments
• Provide one-on-one attention to slow learners where required

4. Classroom Management

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom
• Arrange Montessori materials and ensure proper usage
• Display charts, student work, and learning aids

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Assist in maintaining student records and portfolios
• Support in attendance marking and basic documentation
• Help in preparing reports, circulars, and communication notes

6. Activity & Event Support

• Assist in organizing school events, celebrations, and functions
• Participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
• Support field trips and outdoor learning sessions

7. Parent Interaction (Support Role)

• Assist the Lead Teacher during parent-teacher meetings
