Job Description
This role is responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services for the Group’s global operations. In this hands‑on role you will manage the regional direct tax accounting and compliance function, advise the business on a wide range of international tax matters, and liaise with external advisors and tax authorities. This is a unique opportunity to join a small in‑house global team of experienced tax professionals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of the end‑to‑end corporate income tax compliance process for a number of group subsidiaries located in a number of jurisdictions, including:
- Corporate income tax ("CIT") returns preparation and submission
- Tax provision and disclosures for group accounts under IFRS
- Preparation/review of tax provisions for local annual financial statements and support during the audit process
- Other local tax filings including transfer pricing, withholding tax, certificate of residence requests
- Liaise with in‑country accountants and external advisors
- Tax payment calculations and requests to the cash team for CIT and WHT according to statutory deadlines, and cash tax reporting
- Identification and implementation of commercially acceptable tax planning opportunities, in line with regional tax strategy and the commercial objectives of the Company as well as systems and process improvements for efficient compliance and tax reporting.
- Support other adhoc tax projects as needed, including due diligence activities for potential acquisitions/disposals, specific transactions, cash repatriation and new tax legislation.
About You
- Professional accounting and/or tax qualifications as well as significant tax experience gained with a leading accountancy firm and/or an in‑house multinational tax team.
- Previous related tax and accounting experience (5 to 10 years) with exposure to countries in the APAC or EMEA region will be of an advantage.
- Highly motivated individual with appetite for working in a fast‑paced and commercially oriented business.
- Organised and methodical individual, with the ability to plan and organise work effectively, delivering to deadlines.
- Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, adopting the most appropriate medium for the situation.
- Analytical, innovative, with good research and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience of multiple country CIT regimes and international tax aspects.
