• Must have strong knowledge of Engineering Concepts (Physics, Mathematics)
• Very strong analytical skill
• Very strong programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink (stateflow not required)
• Good programming skills in C/C++
• Excellent knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink tools and toolboxes
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Understand user requirements and translate into algorithms to be modelled in MATLAB/Simulink environment
• Automatic C/C++ code generation from Simulink models using Simulink/Embedded coder toolboxes
• Customizing code generation options and using advanced options in Simulink Coder toolbox
• Analyzing generated code for equivalence to model and validating it
• Run automated testing (MIL/SIL) using MATLAB scripting
• Conduct MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL testing and analyze results
• Understand distributed embedded hardware systems and sensor modules; troubleshoot issues in entire development chain
• Interfacing with teams using C/C++ and integrating generated code
• Review and refactor code to improve quality and performance
• Develop scripts/tools to automate development processes
• Document system validation results for publication
• Ability to design and develop control systems for complex motion of vehicles
• Ability to design and develop models of physical systems using empirical or data-based methods
• Ability to work independently on tasks and complete to standard
• Ability to manage tasks for self and team and support in team activities
• Provide technical leadership to team by implementing new ideas and processes
