Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in Finance mandatory.
• 34+ years of relevant finance experience in Controllership / Regional Finance.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition under US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional partnerships across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on revenue accounting; coordinate with Legal, Sales, Sales Ops, FP&A, and Ops on revenue policies.
• Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, including US GAAP.
• Review regional revenue reporting and lead quarterly revenue recognition closes.
• Lead weekly forecast meetings with Business Finance and Sales Operations; present to senior management.
• Analyze customer contracts to determine accounting treatment.
• Identify and implement process improvements for revenue and cost recognition workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally to establish best practices and strengthen financial controls.
• Willingness to travel to African branch locations as required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Regional Finance Controller to oversee revenue accounting, financial reporting, and cross-functional financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, driving process improvements, and collaborating with multiple business functions to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on revenue accounting and collaborate with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Business Finance, FP&A, and Operations teams on revenue recognition policies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, including US GAAP.
• Review regional revenue reporting and lead quarterly revenue recognition closing activities.
• Manage and drive weekly forecast meetings with Business Finance and Sales Operations teams; present insights to senior management.
• Analyze and interpret customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue and cost recognition workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally to establish best practices and improve financial controls.
• Take ownership of additional responsibilities and projects as required. Willingness to travel to African branch locations as required based on business requirements supporting regional finance operations and stakeholder collaboration.
