Job summary

Johnson Controls in Mumbai seeks an experienced Assistant Project Manager (IBMS) to oversee end-to-end project execution, from handover through commissioning, across CCTV, access control, BMS/IBMS, and ELV systems. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in relevant engineering domains, a bachelor's degree in engineering, and familiarity with MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Project Management certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete project execution lifecycle from project handover to final commissioning and closure.
• Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Lead site execution activities, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project management standards.
• Review project drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor project financials, including cost control, billing, collections, and margin improvement.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders.
• Support customer relationship management and address project escalations effectively.
• Ensure all project documentation, reports, and closure documents are maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project preferred).
• Understanding of electrical, networking, and control system architecture.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.
