Assistant Project Manager JLL Gujarat – Projects and Development Services
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our Projects and Development Services team in Gujarat. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on diverse commercial real estate projects while developing project management expertise under the guidance of senior project professionals. The successful candidate will support project delivery across multiple assignments, contributing to all phases from initiation through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support & Coordination – Support Project Managers in planning, executing, and monitoring construction and fit-out projects across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans while maintaining comprehensive project documentation and reporting systems.
- Stakeholder Communication – Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action item trackers.
- Support client presentations and progress reporting activities.
- Site Monitoring & Quality Assurance – Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality standards, and safety compliance.
- Document site conditions through reports and photographs.
- Assist in identifying and resolving on-site issues promptly.
- Budget & Schedule Tracking – Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, tracking variations and supporting cost control initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining project schedules, identifying potential delays, and supporting recovery planning efforts.
- Documentation & Compliance – Maintain organized project files including contracts, correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and JLL quality standards.
- Assist in preparation of project closeout documentation.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination – Support procurement activities and contractor selection processes.
- Track contractor performance and deliverables.
- Assist in managing subcontractor coordination and resolving interface issues.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Gujarat as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or site engineering roles within commercial real estate, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methodologies, building systems, and project management principles. Familiarity with construction documentation, contracts, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project). Familiarity with project management tools and AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages. Ability to prepare clear reports and correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to RERA regulations and local building codes in Gujarat.
- Knowledge of PMI, RICS, or similar project management frameworks.
- Experience with fit-out or interior projects.
- Understanding of MEP systems and coordination processes.
