Qualifications:
- Regular /Full Time Master's degree in Visual Communication/Electronic Media/ Mass Communication & Journalism with one of the qualifications (M.Phil/NET/SET/Ph.D)
- Min 2 years of work experience as Teaching Faculty in Viscom Department
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans and foster an inclusive classroom environment
- Passion for teaching and a student-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate or postgraduate students in visual communication
- Developing and delivering course content in areas such as graphic design, multimedia, animation, film studies, and related subjects
- Providing guidance and support to students on academic and career-related matters
Curriculum Development:
- Contributing to the development and review of the visual communication curriculum
- Updating course materials to align with industry trends and technological advancements
- Introducing innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience
Research:
- Engaging in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations in relevant fields
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in visual communication, design, and media studies
Student Advising:
- Advising students on academic and career choices within the visual communication field
- Providing mentorship and guidance on academic projects, research, and career development
Professional Development:
- Pursuing professional development opportunities to stay current with industry practices and educational methodologies
- Attending conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance expertise and network with professionals in the field
Administrative Duties:
- Participating in departmental meetings, committees, and academic governance
- Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of student performance
- Collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives and projects
Industry Engagement:
- Establishing and maintaining connections with professionals and organizations in the visual communication industry
- Facilitating internships, guest lectures, or industry partnerships to enhance students' exposure to real-world scenarios
Institutional Service:
- Participating in university or college-wide initiatives and events
- Contributing to accreditation processes and quality improvement efforts
