Job description

• Identify and document procurement best practices and workflows within assigned categories
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives — eliminate inefficiencies, simplify workflows, standardize documentation across processes
• Develop, maintain, and update process templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to cascade procurement policies and ensure compliance across the function
• Support the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of procurement systems and tools (e.g., CLM, P2P, vendor portals, procurement platforms)
• Define functional requirements and process controls to be embedded in system implementations
• Coordinate user testing, training delivery, and adoption of new procurement technologies
• Provide system support and troubleshooting guidance to end users; log and escalation critical issues

3. Reporting, Analytics & Data Management

• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and KPI reports (spend analytics, supplier performance, cycle-time metrics, savings tracking)
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in procurement spend and supplier performance
• Prepare periodic reports for leadership (category performance, cost savings, strategic initiatives)
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy of procurement metrics and reports

4. Policy Cascading & Compliance Support

• Develop and cascade procurement policies and procedures for consistency and compliance
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
• Deliver training programs for internal teams on procurement policies, processes, and system usage
• Support continuous compliance monitoring and provide guidance on policy interpretation to stakeholders

5. Transformation Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Lead or contribute to transformational procurement initiatives and technology projects
• Manage project scope, timeline, and budget; deliver outcomes on time and within budget
• Coordinate across multiple internal stakeholders (Category Managers, Ops teams, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance)

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Support

• Work closely with Category Managers, Procurement Operations, and Business Units to identify and support sourcing and operational needs
• Engage with Legal, InfoSec, Compliance, and Finance on policy and process governance
• Participate in forums, reviews, and governance bodies to contribute to procurement excellence

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-8 years of procurement operations, CoE, process improvement, or supply chain experience in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience with procurement process design, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives
• Proven experience in implementing procurement systems, tools (CLM, P2P, vendor portals), or ERP solutions
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, governance frameworks, and compliance best practices
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across multiple organizational levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; comfort with data, metrics, and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects, drive change management, and lead continuous improvement initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA or professional certification in Supply Chain Management (APICS, ASCM) or Project Management (PMP, CAPM)
• Direct experience building or scaling procurement centres of excellence, shared service organizations, or transformation offices
• Hands‑on experience with high‑volume, multi‑category procurement environments (e‑commerce, tech, or enterprise scale)
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI agents, or procurement automation platforms
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO standards, DPDP Act, RBI regulations) relevant to regulated entities
• Experience managing large‑scale system implementations or technology transformations
