RSM Astute Consulting in Mumbai seeks a seasoned transfer pricing professional to lead engagements from planning through compliance, including litigation support for multinational clients.

The role covers drafting 3CEB forms, benchmarking and advisory work across manufacturing, trading, and service sectors, with opportunities to mentor juniors and interact with tax authorities.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidate profile includes CA / MBA / CA-INTER / B.COM with 3–10 years of management consulting experience.
• Experience in transfer pricing engagements from planning to compliance and documentation.
• Comfort with liaising with tax authorities and advising on international transactions.

Responsibilities

• Managing the transfer pricing engagement from planning to compliance and litigation project management.
• Reviewing Transfer Pricing audit reports and study reports.
• Representing before Transfer Pricing authorities for scrutiny, appeals and assessments.
• Preparing data for scrutiny and assessments related to Transfer Pricing.
• Preparing Form 3CEB and Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Industry coverage: manufacturing, trading, service sectors.
• Advisory work and transfer pricing study/planning of international transactions.
• Royalty benchmarking and payment of management fees.
• Appearing before AO, TPO, CIT(A), DRP and ITAT.
• Drafting intercompany agreements and updating case law and notifications.
• Review work by juniors and providing on-the-job training.
• Preparing proposals and news articles/news flashes.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Managing the entire transfer pricing engagement from planning to compliance to managing of litigation projects (including Identification of international transactions, computation of arms length price, selection of the most appropriate method, benchmarking studies for various multinational clients, documentation and preparation of transfer pricing study reports.)
• Review of Transfer Pricing audit report and Transfer Pricing study report.
• Representation before Transfer Pricing authorities for scrutiny, CIT appeals and assessments proceedings.
• Preparing and reviewing data for scrutiny and assessments w.r.t. Transfer Pricing.
• Preparation of Form 3CEB and Transfer Pricing Document
• Industry:-Manufacturing – engineering companies, chemicals, fiber glass; etc.
• Trading – various types of chemicals like agro chemicals leather chemicals, industrial coatings, polyurethanes, scientific analytical instruments; etc.
• Service – BPO, marketing companies; indenting service providers, etc.
• Advisory Work
• Transfer pricing study/planning of the international transaction;
• Royalty Benchmarking;
• Payment of Management Fees.
• Appearing independently before AO, TPO, CIT(A), DRP and ITAT
• Appearing before various tax authorities and defending the transactions of Sales, Purchases, IT charges, Cost sharing, Payment of Royalty, purchase of capital goods, etc.
• Filing of appeals/ objections before CIT(A), DRP and ITAT
• Opinions from Counsel
• Due Diligence Work
• Review of Transfer Pricing benchmarking analysis

Preferred candidate profile

CA / MBA/ CA-INTER/ B.COM WITH 3-10YRS OF EXPERIENCE having Management Consulting working expereince and / keen to join Management Consulting.
