Job summary

Deloitte & Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Pune is seeking an Assistant Manager for Testing API within Engineering as a Service/Operate. You will guide QA strategies and support development of a global quality framework, with Karate mandatory for API testing and debugging.

The role requires at least 6 years in SQA, hands-on API testing, and experience with test management tools. Strong Java scripting skills and virtual testing environments are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum six (6) years experience in SQA, software testing using Java.
• Minimum one (1) year in an informal lead role working with technical teams.
• Karate is mandatory for API test automation and debugging.
• Minimum two (2) years of Test automation using Java
• Minimum two (2) years of Test management tools like Qtest or QualityCenter
• Minimum two (2) years of API Test / Debugging tools like Postman, etc
• Two (2) years experience working in virtual testing environments.

• Manages the development of test scenarios and execution of test cases across all testing phases.
• Generates scheduled reports and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management.
• Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to gain buy-in and approval of test plans.
• Develops QA project plans for moderately to highly complex projects.
• Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases.
• Test automation skills are a must have, programming in Java, Karate, Selenium or any automation scripting languages.
• Debug failures using Splunk or Dynatrace is a plus.
• Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and derive test cases and strategies.
• Work in an Agile and fast paced environment.

Job Summary:This individual contributor is responsible for guiding and influencing the development of a formal Global Quality Services Framework and for supporting the development of software quality assurance test strategies. Karate is mandatory for API test automation and debugging.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Develops quality assurance (QA) project plans, with guidance from senior team members as appropriate, for moderately to highly complex projects by participating in the identification of project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, and ensuring proper staffing.
• Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).
• Test automation skills are a must have, programming in Java, Karate, Selenium or any automation (API & UI) scripting languages requried.
• Debug failures using Splunk or Dyna trace is a plus. Ability to debug defects by looking at logs and traces is a must.
• Work closely with development teams in understanding technical requirements and using these requirments come up with test cases and test strategies.
• Work in an Agile and a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership (e.g., Manager level and above)

Minimum Two (2) year experience in automation and testing using Java

Two (2) years experience working with IT vendors.

Three (3) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).

Two (2) years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.

Two (2) years experience working with integration technologies (e.g., web services, MQ).

Two (2) years experience working in virtual testing environments.

Two (2) years experience working in healthcare testing environments.

Two (2) years experience testing business systems applications.

Two (2) years experience working with data mart/data warehousing.

Some experience in cloud will be preferred - Azure is preferred

Master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.

Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar certification.
