Assistant Manager - Supply Chain Program Management (NPI)
The Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Program Management (NPI) position is located in Hyderabad, India. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Program Management and is responsible for facilitating NextPower’s product development. The incumbent ensures that NextPower’s products and installations outperform customer expectations, maintain the highest quality, and develop customer loyalty by optimizing products to meet customer needs and providing technical support services on the NextPower product.

Responsibilities
- Project plan development with activity drill‑down for new product development (Work Breakdown Structure)
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities required to deliver all projects and deliverables on time
- Develop overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering) and vendors to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items
- Provide recommendations based on product development expertise with a focus on balancing quality, speed to market, cost reduction, and constructability
- Host recurring project meetings and deliver status updates to all stakeholders
- Identify potential failures, initiate appropriate corrective actions, and manage risks to the programme’s successful outcome
- Check for associated document creation and transfer from owner to user
- Ensure material or part sample evaluation (FAI, Load Test & FFF) and new part qualification (FAA) completion
- Verify that all modifications are reflected in the system before moving to tooling or part ordering
- Manage external dependencies and logistics
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimate, quote, evaluate, specify, and purchase capital equipment and tooling for new programs or modifications to existing programs within budget
- Support product development, sales, and marketing as requested
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA in Operations or a related discipline
- Overall 8–10 years of experience with a minimum of 3–4 years in Program Management or Project Management in the NPI domain
- Steel parts manufacturing or tooling knowledge/experience
- Experience working with international teams and suppliers
- Knowledge of project management applications such as JIRA is preferable
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with proven management experience
- Knowledge of PV technology and its applications is preferred
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines with excellent time management
- Self‑starting mindset and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) and PowerPoint proficiency
