Job summary

LSEG in London is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to lead statutory reporting and financial accounting across multiple entities. You will prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements, coordinate audits, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

This role partners with Tax, Treasury, Legal and Company Secretariat to ensure governance and regulatory compliance, while driving process improvements. Proficiency with Oracle Fusion, HFM, BlackLine and advanced Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with IFRS experience or degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 5+ years of statutory reporting/financial accounting experience across multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements under applicable accounting standards.
• Coordinate external and internal audits, managing auditor queries and evidence requests.
• Perform balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and control activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Company Secretariat, and Finance teams.
• Review accounting treatment for complex transactions, including dividends, restructures, intercompany balances, and impairments.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Support board reporting and legal entity governance activities.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and/or degree in Accounting/Finance
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of experience in statutory reporting.
• Part-qualified candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong statutory reporting and financial accounting experience across multiple legal entities.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, HFM, and BlackLine.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience managing sophisticated financial data.
