Job summary

River, Bengaluru-based design company, is seeking a seasoned supply chain leader to head procurement and supplier management. You will drive on-time delivery, optimize inventory, and lead a team to ensure cost-effective sourcing aligned with production needs.

Ideal candidate has 10–15 years in supply chain, SAP expertise, and strong communication skills to coordinate with design, QA, and operations teams. This role is on site in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or supply chain management.
• 10–15 years of strong experience in supply chain.
• Extensive experience interfacing with strategic suppliers and managing relationships.
• Excellent communication and people skills; SAP knowledge mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Team Lead and people manager, accountable for procurement team performance.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly reviews on material availability.
• Purchase all kinds of parts from domestic vendors (chassis, brackets, stamping, busbar, batteries).
• Plan to ensure no premium freight; optimize logistics costs.
• Ensure suppliers' capacity and capability to meet production demand.
• Review critical suppliers and drive preventive action plans.
• Drive improvements in OTD, inventory, lead time, and cost savings.
• Collaborate with quality team to improve supplier quality performance.
• Coordinate ECN changes, BOM changes with design and engineering teams.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide management analysis.
• Ensure compliance, safety standards and sustainability with the company.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in engineering or Supply chain Management is preferred
• 10 - 15 years of strong experience in supply chainHas extensive experience interfacing with strategic suppliers and managing relationships
