Job Overview
This role will act as a Centre-of-Excellence (CoE) for SAP S/4 HANA PP/QM modules and will support SAP S/4 HANA implementations and business-as-usual support for PP/QM modules across our businesses globally through the respective vendors. The responsibility also includes evaluating and recommending business process improvements using industry best practices to address existing and changing business needs. The ideal candidate should have experience as an SAP ERP PP/QM functional consultant with at least some experience in S/4 HANA and at least one full-cycle SAP ERP implementation experience. Candidates from the CPG industry or with consulting experience will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP S/4 HANA expertise
- Strong SAP PP/QM module expertise and its integration with other SAP modules
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes of CPG or related industries
- Understand and document business requirements and assess fitment with SAP PP/QM standard functionalities
- Validate functional and technical specification documents
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive process re‑engineering/transformation
- Drive business application enhancements in the event of organizational changes or changes to business processes
- Analyse business processes to determine and recommend IT solutions considering business objectives, issues and the functional capabilities of SAP S/4 HANA
- Project management – ensure business IT initiatives are followed through from conceptualisation to project implementation
- Develop, coordinate and execute project plans for implementation of SAP PP/QM modules and/or functional process improvements
- Engage and manage senior functional stakeholders through effective communication and ensuring business needs are met in a timely manner
- Liaise with external vendors regarding configuration, implementation and maintenance of SAP applications
- Coordinate with business users, peers in IT Centre of Excellence and third‑party AMS support team to provide timely and quality support to incidents and change requests to SAP S/4 HANA PP/QM modules
- Effectively communicate application changes and issues to business stakeholders and external vendorsSupport SAP application upgrade plans and disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Ensure adequate process controls, documentation and governance in SAP and support internal and external application audits
Qualifications
- MCA or B.E. in Computers, Electronics or IT
- SAP S/4 HANA PP certification is preferred
- 6–8 years of experience as a functional consultant for the SAP ERP PP/QM module
- Experience in at least one full‑cycle SAP ERP implementation
- Background with the CPG industry or consulting experience is preferred
