We’re currently seeking a motivated early-career professional to join the HSBC Asset Management (India) Private Limited (AMIN) Sales & Distribution team.

Role Purpose

Support the Sales & Distribution team in growing mutual fund / investment product penetration across distributor channels (Banks, National Distributors and IFAs). The role focuses on learning the business, supporting relationship managers, contributing to sales enablement activities and building foundational client/distributor engagement skills.

This role will involve periodic direct interaction with distributors/clients. A confident communicator with interest in markets and sales will be a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Support key distributor relationships across Banks (including Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) segment), National Distributors and Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) under guidance from senior team members.
• Assist with distributor engagement activities such as product updates, sales campaigns, promotional schemes and regular communication.
• Help identify new distribution opportunities (especially within the IFA segment) by mapping potential partners and maintaining lead lists.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (including Group Distribution entities and internal teams) to support network strengthening initiatives.
• Track basic sales performance: maintain reports/dashboards, analyse trends, and share insights with the team.
• Support institutional coverage activities (where applicable) by helping prepare materials, coordinating meetings, and following up on action items.
• Ensure compliance and “doing business the right way” by adhering to HSBC values, internal controls, and sales/process governance requirements.

Qualifications / Skills (Entry Level)

• Minimum Graduation (or as required for the role, whichever is higher).
• Strong interest in mutual funds and investment markets; willingness to learn products and distribution models.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) and comfort interacting with distributors/clients.
• Basic commercial mindset and enthusiasm for a client-facing sales career.
• Good coordination skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable with MS Excel / PowerPoint (basic reporting and presentations).

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA/PGDM) is an advantage.
• Valid NISM certificate (preferred; may be required depending on role scope).
