Job summary

Novartis AG in Hyderabad seeks an experienced finance professional to provide expert advice on Financial Reporting & Accounting and to manage reporting for the general ledger, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements in a timely, accurate manner.

You will work with direct managers, support fixed assets, depreciation, and deliver data for statutory accounts, national statistics and tax information. SAP expertise and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• MBA or CA qualification required.
• 3–4 years of experience in Finance and Accounts.
• Experience with SAP, fixed assets, and general ledger is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support financial activities and decision making with direct managers.
• Provide timely support on the general ledger.
• Maintain fixed asset information including assets under construction and depreciation.
• Prepare analysis/reports focusing on accuracy and timeliness (P&L, etc).
• Provide data for internal and external reporting, including statutory accounts and tax.
• Provide first-line SAP support for fixed assets, cash, and GL.
• Contribute to FRA projects at country or BU level.
• Report technical complaints/adverse events/special cases within 24 hours of receipt.
• Distribution of marketing samples where applicable.

Job Description

Key Requirements:

• Work with direct managers to support financial activities, decision making and general projects.
• Provide timely, proactive support on the general ledger.
• Maintain accurate and timely fixed asset information in the fixed asset register including assets under construction and depreciation calculations.
• Prepare analysis or reporting with particular emphasis on accuracy, compliance and timeliness of data provided (i.e.: reports on profit and loss activity).
• Provide all data needed for internal (Financial Consolidation and Reporting System) and external reporting (including statutory accounts, national statistics and tax information) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provides ‘first line support’ on SAP issues including fixed assets, cash and general ledger.
• Contribute to FRA projects at country or BU level.
• Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt
• Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

Essential Requirements:

• MBA/CA
• 3-4 years of experience in Finance and Accounts

Desirable Requirements:

• Project Management experience
• Good to have exposure in Clinical trials and from a pharma industry
