Job summary

JobItUs in Mumbai, India seeks a Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years post-qualification experience to join the Finance & Accounts team. You will focus on Record-to-Report, general ledger accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting, working with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

The role requires strong Excel skills and familiarity with Ind AS. SAP or Oracle experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in R2R, General Ledger, financial accounting, or financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of Ind AS and financial reporting.
• Strong MS Excel skills; ERP experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day R2R and General Ledger accounting activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and accounting adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations and ensure timely closure of open items.
• Assist in preparation and review of P&L and Balance Sheet schedules.
• Support preparation of monthly financial reports, MIS, and management reporting.
• Analyze accounting data and identify variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting entries in accordance with Ind AS and applicable policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams to obtain required information for month-end closing and reporting.
• Support statutory, internal, and external audit requirements.
• Assist in improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Work on finance-related projects and provide business insights and analysis as required.
• Ensure adherence to defined financial controls, processes, and reporting timelines.

About the Role

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Relevant experience in R2R, General Ledger, Financial Accounting, or Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end closing, and reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of Ind AS and financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel; experience with SAP/Oracle or other ERP systems will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
