Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group in India is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor in Mumbai to prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for drywall, partitions, false ceilings, and interior fit-out projects.

The role requires analyzing drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, and coordinating with vendors for quotations. You will support procurement and pre-sale activities, driving accuracy and efficiency in costing and proposals.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for drywall, partition, false ceiling, and interior fit-out projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, BOQs & tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural & shop drawings.
• Prepare material, labor, equipment, subcontractor & overhead cost calculations.
• Coordinate with vendors & subcontractors for quotations & rate updates.
• Identify project risks & inform the Departmental Head for contingency plans.
• Ensure timely submission of techno-commercial proposals.
• Monitor market pricing trends for drywall materials and related systems.
• Establish & maintain standard costing databases.
• Understand project profitability & recommend cost-saving options.
• Support procurement teams with technical & commercial evaluations.
• Work with project sales during pre-sale or bidding.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design teams to ensure feasibility.
