Job summary

Gallagher in India is seeking a seasoned AM/DM - Claims Operations to supervise a team of claims examiners, delivering high-quality, cost-effective service to US employee benefits clients.

As Claims Lead, you will drive SLA achievement, coach staff, manage transitions, and partner with global stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. A strategic, hands-on leader with strong analytics will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum required degree: Bachelor.
• Preferred degree: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or related field.
• Insurance industry certifications – AIC, AINS, Cert CII or any other relevant Insurance certification.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in US employee benefits claims.
• Minimum 2–3 years of managing team; transitions experience; knowledge of regulations.

• Actively manage work allocation, query resolution and delivery of key SLAs.
• Report key claims handling metrics using dashboards and scorecards; drive process improvements.
• Review work of others via file reviews; identify and act on coaching opportunities.
• Identify performance issues and address them with staff and management.
• Communicate with stakeholders professionally and collaboratively across departments.
• Assist with transitions, map workflows, and create SOPs; ensure compliance with essential documents.

Overview

Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire an AM/DM -Claims Operations. As the Claims Lead, you will be responsible to Supervise and handle a team of Claims adjusters in the best interests of the company, by delivering a high-quality cost-effective claims service to customers and contribute to the delivery of the claims business goals, within claims handling authorities.

Your role will involve delivery of key SLAs, set goals, monitor and evaluate staff progress, assist with training and queries, and manage stakeholder expectations. Additionally, you may also carry an individual case load based on business needs. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the shared services team. You will be interacting with the team who are present in USA. Exposure to Insurance regulations and laws, claims handling procedures and Risk management principles is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Employee Benefits claims examiners and may carry an individual case load based on business needs.
• Actively manage work allocation, query resolution and delivery of key SLAs.
• Report key claims handling metrics using dashboards & scorecard to evaluate performance and trends and drive process improvements.
• Review work of others via file reviews; identify coaching opportunities and act on needed coaching opportunities.
• Identify performance and behavioral issues and work with staff and management to address and correct them.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a professional, positive and proactive manner. Work collaboratively with all external and internal departments.
• Assist with any new transitions, able to map workflows and create Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure compliance to all process essential documents.

About you

Qualifications:

• Education

  • Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or related field

• Certificate(s)/Special Training

  • Insurance industry certifications – AIC, AINS, Cert CII or any other relevant Insurance certification

• Experience ( Career Level Guide)

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in US employee benefits claims
  • Minimum 2-3 years of managing teamProven track record of successful claim resolutions and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience of transitions
  • Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Should have sound end to end claims processing knowledge of employee benefits claims
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively
