Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in India seeks a Maintenance Engineer to drive preventive and predictive maintenance across assembly lines, ensuring high equipment uptime and TPM pillar implementation.

You will lead planned maintenance for critical assets like conveyors and robots, chase RCAs and CAPAs, coordinate with production to maintain takt time, manage spare parts, and monitor maintenance KPIs to minimize downtime and costs.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech in engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–8 years of maintenance experience in automotive/manufacturing.
  • Experience with TPM pillars and maintenance KPIs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical assets.
  • Lead breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and restore production quickly.
  • Drive RCA and CAPA for recurring equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with production to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing.
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost optimization.
  • Support implementation of TPM pillars and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime (MTBF improvement) across TCF/Assembly lines through effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices
  • Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical assets such as conveyors, tightening systems, robots, and utilities
  • Lead breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and quick restoration of production operations
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring equipment failures
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing
  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical spares while optimizing cost
  • Implement and sustain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements during maintenance activities
  • Support implementation of low-cost automation (LCA) and continuous improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement
  • Monitor and control maintenance KPIs such as breakdown hours, OEE, MTTR, and maintenance costs
