Job description

Elevate is recruiting an Assistant Manager for our Contract team. The Assistant Manager in the Contracts – Managed Service Team plays a pivotal role in supporting global client engagements by preparing, reviewing and negotiating legal and business documentation. This role involves working closely with client stakeholders, ensuring high‑quality deliverables, and ensuring a seamless and efficient contracting process.

Responsibilities
  • Review and redline a wide range of commercial contracts on behalf of the client for accuracy, consistency, adherence to client’s playbook/guidelines and best practices.
  • Independently draft standard legal clauses with minimal supervision.
  • Apply client-specific instructions and requirements with precision.
  • Independently discuss and finalize contract drafts with client’s business and legal counsel.
  • Independently negotiate contracts with counterparties, including on all‑party calls.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client’s playbook and policy requirements, quality standards and expectations.
  • Flag inconsistencies, potential risks, or deviations in documentation and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain version control and document hygiene across engagements.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for client stakeholders on drafting‑related queries.
  • Collaborate with client’s legal counsel, cross‑functional teams and counterparties to understand project requirements, timelines and facilitate seamless contract processes.
  • Support Managers in implementing process updates and best practices.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge repositories by documenting learnings, templates, and processes.
  • Participate in team discussions and feedback loops to improve drafting processes.
  • Stay updated on CLM tools and contribute to their effective usage.
  • Provide informal guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Assist in onboarding new joiners by sharing practical insights and tips.

  • Familiarity with document management systems and workflow tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in law; candidates with relevant legal internships preferred.
