Job summary

PepsiCo in Kosi, Uttar Pradesh, seeks a Chartered Accountant with 3–4 years of experience in Finance/Controllership to strengthen control processes across Seed-to-Chip and Seed-to-Seed operations. The role emphasizes robust governance, month-end close, and automation within a manufacturing/supply chain setting.

You will drive risk assessments, ensure statutory compliance, manage inventories, and support regional leadership with KPI reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• CA with 3–4 years of experience in Finance / Controllership roles.
• Strong hands-on exposure to month-end close, provisions, balance sheet reviews, and inventory accounting in a manufacturing or supply-chain environment.
• Working knowledge of internal controls and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Ability to work independently and partner closely with operations.
• Preferred: Exposure to Agro, FMCG, or Agri-supply chain businesses.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Agro control agenda and establish a robust control framework in the Kosi region.
• Participate in risk assessments, define and implement business control activities (BCAs), and monitor effectiveness in the field.
• Ensure compliance with GCS, Schedule of Authority, and internal governance standards.
• Track and close control gaps, audit observations, and process deviations.
• Ensure Day-0 month-end close with accurate books and timely submission.
• Manage provisions and accruals for shrinkage, rottage, warehouses, MOH, freight, and other Agro costs.
• Review seed costing, inventory accounting, and GIT, highlighting risks and corrective actions.
• Support reconciliations and periodic financial reporting.
• Prepare, validate, and consolidate Agro KPI reports with variance analysis and business insights.
• Drive performance reviews with Agro teams (Potato and Seed).
• Collate and validate data for regional reviews and leadership updates.
• Ensure accurate representation of stock and assets through monthly balance sheet reviews and physical verification.
• Monitor seed pipeline, inventory movements, and warehouse/cold store governance.
• Conduct regular site visits to warehouses and fields to ensure adherence to processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, including Mandi taxes and filing of returns.
• Ensure availability and compliance of Seed, Potato, and other Agro licenses in coordination with Legal.
• Coordinate internal, statutory, and other audits, and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Anchor contract farming and storage agreements, including validation, approvals, and due diligence.
• Support cold store due diligence and opening in SAP, seasonal setup, and operational readiness.
• Support transporter contracting and related commercial processes.
• Coordinate cross-functional Agro initiatives such as modernization projects, bulk cold stores, and cross-freight.
• Drive central automation projects and reduction of manual interventions.
• Design and implement relevant SOPs and control processes for the region.
• Conduct training and hand-holding for plant and field teams on finance, controls, and compliance.

To provide end-to-end control, governance, and analytical support for the Agro Business in Kosi, Uttar Pradesh. This role focuses on strengthening existing processes, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring robust governance across Seed-to-Chip and Seed-to-Seed operations. The role will actively contribute to central automation projects.

Responsibilities
