Job summary

Royal Valtrans India Pvt ltd is seeking a senior finance leader with 10+ years of experience to educate and guide the team in finance and accounting. You will collaborate with senior leaders, HR, and IT to enhance integration of finance processes and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across all accounts and grants.

You will oversee internal controls, budgeting, audits, and cash flow forecasting, while supporting the CFO in committees and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Finance & Accounting required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and support the team in finance and accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and IT to integrate finance processes.
  • Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, and budgets.
  • Coordinate all audit activities.
  • Analyze financial data and present monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Monitor progress, identify variances, and report to senior leadership.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and financial planning to align results with plans.
  • Support the CFO/Director of Finance in audits and committee discussions.
  • Oversee accounting for projects, programs, and grants within budgets.
  • Prepare reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting with program heads for efficiency.
  • Track performance of invested assets per policies and guidelines.
  • Strengthen team capabilities through training and clear roles.
  • Foster a positive work environment with effective internal communication.
  • Ensure compliance with cash flow statements, fund flow statements, and close processes.
  • Standardize and improve financial processes for timely service delivery.
  • Prepare audit schedules and ensure policy compliance.

Role & responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior management to educate and support the team in finance and accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and IT to enhance finance, HR, and IT integration.
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and program budgets.
  • Coordinate all audit activities.
  • Analyze financial data and present timely, accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual statements).
  • Monitor financial progress, identify variances, and keep senior leadership informed of the financial status.
  • Assist leadership in annual budgeting and financial planning, ensuring actual results align with financial plans.
  • Support the CFO/Director of Finance in engaging with audit and finance committees on financial trends and operational models.
  • Oversee financial accounting for projects, programs, and grants, ensuring expenditures align with budget guidelines.
  • Collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting in partnership with program heads to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Track and manage the performance of invested assets in accordance with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Strengthen team capabilities by clarifying roles, providing training, and supporting individual and organizational goals.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment through effective internal communication.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies related to cash flow statements, fund flow statements, and financial book closures.
  • Standardize and improve financial processes for timely service delivery.
  • Prepare audit schedules and ensure policy compliance.
Preferred candidate profile
  • Education: Graduate in Finance & Accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws.
  • Proven experience leading finance operations and treasury functions.
  • Expertise in project management, process standardization, and audits.
  • Independent, analytical problem-solver with self-initiative.
